METHODOLOGY

`Multi-mineral analysis of petrophysical model, to statistically determine mineral and fluid characteristics and volumes from petrophysical data such as logs, cores, and petrographic dat. A hybrid neural network model is automatically applied to solve non-linear regression problems for more result accuracy.

LITHOLOGY/POROSITY

Open and total porosity data are used for open-hole log interpretation. In addition, we perform a multi-mineral probabilistic analysis, in particular, in case of fields formed by carbonaceous rocks. Open-hole data analysis results are combined with core data, images, and production parameters.
Petrophysical estimation of porosity requires a more accurate assessment of grain density which is a function of rock matrix generation. Mineralogy, matrix density, and shale content can be estimated from standard open-hole data.

SATURATION

We determine water saturation, by using both standard and modified equations, such as Archie, Juhasz, Simandoux, Dual-Water, Indonesia, Waxman-Smits. Availability of worldwide petrophysical database enables us to build petrophysical data taking into account the specifics of a particular region. Saturation modelling from free water level using capillary curve data or applying equations modified for a particular region allows us to make assessment of reserves with higher accuracy.

PERMEABILITY

To assess permeability, we use different calculation models. Core data (compartmentalisation of reservoir facies, rock textural and structural features) in combination with logging data, allow us to match a permeability profile determined according to the selected calculation method more accurately.
